My work is infused with rich color, surface design, and symbolic imagery that is created out of meditative states and the inner world where dreams are born. The objects that I make are physical manifestations of personal landscapes. This is a process that feels very natural to me, as practiced in my work as a therapist for 30 years and in making objects my entire life.

 

I create mixed media work that combine collage, watercolor, found objects, and fiber. At present, my work is an exploration of circular and oval forms that are found in nature; symbolic of stones, eggs, seed pods, lichen, or living cells. Using ink, thread, wool, cotton, and silk fibers, I create imagery on felt, fabric, and paper.
