One of my first teachers encouraged me to paint small watercolors as studies for larger works. This way of working has remained a consistent practice for me for over 40 years. The scale varies and most are quite small, between 4 and 16 inches, but each is a window into my imagination.

Together, these paintings become a visual journal, each one a poem or daily thought.
